Welcome to LPT 101– A Laser Phototherapy Certification eCourse offered by Theradome! This course provides a solid knowledge of cold lasers in the context of hair restoration. Taking this course will make you an expert at understanding how and why laser therapy is so efficient at stimulating the base of hair follicles with the optimum laser hair device. This is the first Laser Phototherapy course of its kind and we encourage you to spread the knowledge of its existence to your customers, as well as to anyone that could benefit from its development. This course contains 6 modules and goes over the history, science, and the ultramodern applications of laser therapy for hair restoration and rejuvenation. You will learn about how a laser is made and its core components, the differences between hot and cold lasers, and the use of cold lasers for the purposes of healing. Along the course, you will also be introduced to some important terminology to help ensure you gain an accurate and stellar comprehension of the science and applications of Laser Phototherapy. The differences between lasers and Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) will be thoroughly explained, along with the characteristics that should be present in an ideal hair growth device. We will also go over the electromagnetic spectrum and how the wavelength of light narrows the therapeutic window for hair rejuvenation down to a very precise window, as well as what conditions should be met for treatment to be effective. We will complete the course by addressing some challenging medical conditions currently undergoing clinical research with cold lasers and take a look at Laser Phototherapy from a business standpoint. By the end of this course, you will be able to understand how and why laser hair therapy is so efficient at stimulating the stem cells at the base of hair follicles, what types of patients will best benefit from laser hair therapy, and how to select an effective laser hair restoration helmet that will reduce shedding, induce new hair growth and increase hair diameter to achieve a thicker, healthier head of hair.
